New Product Launch: SkillUp & Engage
HackerRank SkillUp and Engage are two initiatives designed to support developers and hiring teams by enhancing technical skills and fostering meaningful connections. SkillUp is a free learning platform that provides developers with structured paths to improve their coding abilities through hands-on challenges, interactive tutorials, and certification opportunities. Engage is a platform that enables companies to host coding competitions, hackathons, and technical events to attract top talent and strengthen their employer brand.
As the lead designer, I designed and wireframed the webpages for both initiatives, ensuring a seamless user experience and clear navigation. I created promotional assets, including videos, ads and email banners to drive awareness and engagement. Through a combination of thoughtful UX, high-quality visuals, and strategic marketing materials, I helped establish SkillUp and Engage as compelling platforms for both developers and organizations.
From the initial video concept stage, I worked closely with an agency to ensure the visuals aligned with our brand identity, providing detailed wireframes that guided the structure, flow, and key messaging. Throughout the process, I reviewed drafts, refined design elements, and ensured consistency across all assets. By working closely and collaboratively with the agency, we successfully created a polished, on-brand video that effectively conveyed our message and engaged our audience.
Product Videos
These videos provide visual demonstrations and overviews, helping users understand the features and benefits of each product. By showcasing real-world applications and success stories, both videos support their products by offering potential customers a clear insight into how Engage and SkillUp can address their specific needs.

Social Promotion
I designed social media ads for HackerRank SkillUp and Engage, creating static and animated visuals optimized for LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook. I emphasized bold typography and clear CTAs to highlight free learning, while also using dynamic layouts and motion to showcase hackathons and competitions. Each design balanced branding, engagement, and performance.
Web Pages
For HackerRank SkillUp and Engage, I led the design and wireframing process to create two distinct yet cohesive webpages that aligned with the brand’s visual identity and user experience goals. I started by researching user needs and defining the content structure to ensure clear navigation and engagement. Using Figma, I developed low-fidelity wireframes to map out the layout, focusing on accessibility, responsiveness, and key CTAs.
I then refined the designs into high-fidelity prototypes, incorporating HackerRank’s design system, strategic use of typography, and visual hierarchy to guide user flow. Collaborating with stakeholders, I iterated on the designs to optimize clarity and conversion, ensuring both pages effectively communicated their purpose while maintaining a seamless experience across devices.
